Upcoming Earth Month Activities

This April, show off your Sustainability prowess with these awesome Earth Month competitions!

reuse artreuse art 2reuse artWe are seeking artists from the entire RU community to participate in a REUSE ART COMPETITION. We are asking that you dig deep into the creative side of your brain, and come up with art projects that utilize only reused items. Please don’t use new resources! These projects will be placed on display for the RU community to see, and cast their vote on their favorite piece of “Reuse Art” between Monday, April 18th and Friday, April 22nd. The winner’s art will be displayed on our blog, and a prize (soon to be announced) will be awarded. Get started collecting those reused items now!

If you would like to participate, please email Sarah Tag, Environmental Sustainability Student Associate, at sfisher@roosevelt.edu to ensure that we prepare space to display your project! Stay tuned for more information on RU’s Reuse Art Competition, coming soon.

This coming Earth Week we are asking RU faculty and staff to participate in a campus-wide Green Office Challenge. The challenge will be taking place both downtown and in Schaumburg. We will be providing a sustainability tracking form for offices to complete over the course of one week – Monday, April 25th through Friday, April 29th.

The GREENEST OFFICE gets bragging rights, and a very awesome prize – soon to be announced. If you are interested in participating, please email Sarah Tag, Environmental Sustainability Student Associate at sfisher@roosevelt.edu to receive your Green Office Challenge worksheet. Please email before April 11.

Be on the lookout for more information on this coming soon!
